I was told that the item would be in stock next month, so I ordered it and received a response saying it would be in stock on 10/30. When I got home and searched the app, it still said 'in stock'. When I went to the store two days later for a different matter, the item was still not in stock, but the app still said it was in stock. It may be difficult to update stock information in real time, but I think it would be possible if it was managed by a computer. In particular, I think that it would have been possible to manually enter the information for 'out of stock' and 'scheduled to arrive' on 14th October. Then, when I went to purchase another product on 21st October, I was able to purchase it because the product I ordered was in stock.
