When the lid is closed, there is no clunking sound. The lid has a moderate weight and is designed to be placed on top of the container, so even if the container contains a strong-smelling item, it will not leak out. Because it is a vertical type, even if you line up two or three of them in a gap for sorting, they will not take up much space. This pedal pail has only good points and is wonderful.

I was looking for a garbage bin for the space between the bins. I looked at various places, not just Nitori... and finally found the perfect bin!

When I went to pick up the product I ordered, the first staff member just brought me the box and handed it to me, so I was having a bit of trouble carrying it home in its original packaging. Then another staff member came over and helped me by tying a string around it so it was easier to carry, which was very helpful. Now I have to do everything myself, including using the self-checkout and packing my own bags. I was surprised, but also very grateful, because I can't expect any kind of service from the staff at Nitori. I'm satisfied with the product.

Up until now, being able to see the contents was a source of stress. I should have bought it sooner. I'm satisfied with it, but as the instructions on the box say, it leaves black marks on the floor. As other people have commented, the dustbin shifts every time you press the pedal, so I'm planning to put non-slip pads under it. I think this will solve the problem of the black marks on the floor.

It's the perfect size for the amount of waste I produce living alone. I like that the lid closes softly.
