I bought this as an addition to the 12-piece set of the same series. It's really light. It's also a little deeper, so when you're frying a large amount of ingredients, such as soup or stir-fried vegetables, it helps to keep the pan from splattering and keeps the stove top clean. In my house, we store our frying pans and pots under the sink, so I'm grateful for the lightness of this pan, as I have to bend down every time I use it.
