You can drain so much water just by turning it.

I'd been using a similar product from OXO for 20 years, but I bought this one because the old one was starting to deteriorate. It's a little bigger, and it's easy to turn with little effort, so it's very convenient to use.

It's light and easy to turn, and it's easy to wash too!

This size is perfect for a family of five. When I buy a head of lettuce, I drain off a lot of the water and put the container in the refrigerator as it is, and then use it for lunch or use it up in a few days. It takes up a lot of space because it's big, but it's really helpful because we eat a lot of vegetables.

For many years I've been using a 300 yen product from a 100 yen shop, but after consulting with my family and deciding that I'd like a bigger one this time, I bought this product after hesitating between this and a 5000 yen colander from another manufacturer. It does its job, but it's quite difficult to turn, heavy, and rattles! It's fine if you only need to drain a small amount, but I bought the large size so I could do it all in one go. However, apart from its role as a colander, it also serves as a bowl when washing vegetables, and you can serve the drained vegetables straight from the colander, so I think it's convenient in that respect (*^^*)
