I bought this because my child has become interested in cooking and I thought it would be good for slicing food without getting hurt. You stick the food into the part that looks like a Kenzan (a type of flower arrangement tool) and slide it, but even if an adult does it, there is no turning back and forth left and right in front of and behind the tool that is slicing, so the food that doesn't fall down will fall down. I think it can slice things of the same size, but if you have to collect them, I thought it would be better to cut them yourself. Also, I would have been very satisfied if it had a function for cutting into tiny pieces.
