SILICONE SCRAPER

I use it to gather the dough from the bowl when making bread. It's a little smaller than the spatulas used specifically for making bread, but it's easier to use. It's like a rubber spatula without a handle. It's also flexible, so it's easy to use.

I saw it in a store and bought it on a whim because it was cheap, but I'm quietly fond of it. I also keep it in a sponge holder that can be hung on the tap at Nitori, and I keep it in a position where I can quickly take it out. I can also use it to scrub away some of the dirt from the frying pan, such as curry and sauce, by putting it in hot water, and I can also quickly collect vegetable scraps that have fallen into the sink and put them in the waste bin. I used to worry that if I washed away the sticky dirt as it was, the sponge would get dirty, and if I wiped it off with kitchen paper every time, it would be a waste of paper... but now all my worries have been solved at once. I recommend it.

For many years, I've been using a hook-shaped kitchen scraper made by REC. Because it's hook-shaped, I could hang it on the stainless steel rack, and I really liked it because it was so easy to use, but the problem was that it was white, so when it came into contact with strongly pigmented foods like tomatoes or curry, the color would transfer, and it would gradually yellow. The moment I saw this gray one, I thought, “This is the color I wanted! It blends in well with the interior, and it looks great, but I'm a little worried about the thickness. If you could make a hook-shaped version with improved thickness, I would use this for the rest of my life!
