It's useful for storage. It's more durable and doesn't warp compared to inferior products. However, it would be nice if there was no dead space without the protruding part on the outside, but I guess that's inevitable due to its durability. There is a space in my house that won't fit because of this protrusion, so I think it's a bit of a shame.
