It's the perfect size for one egg, but if there's no egg in it, it tends to lean towards the patterned side. As the instructions say, be careful of the balance.

There were some comments in the reviews that the trivet wasn't stable, but we have a device that we use on the trivet to stabilise small pots, so that didn't cause any problems for us!
